Import / Sales Development Executive

Responsible for (employees) – None

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining, growing and developing the existing customer bases.

  • Reviewing weekly sales figures and profitability of accounts.

  • Building and maintaining good customer relationships.

  • Being the first point of contact for customers with queries on products, orders, and deliveries.

  • Visiting customers and suppliers on a regular basis.

Essential Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years sales service gained within an FMCG environment (in the last 10 years).

  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Have a proven record of improving a customer base and profit margins.

  • Have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.

  • Have excellent computer skills including MS Office.

  • Have excellent presentation skills.

  • Have an analytical and commercial approach to business.

  • Have a track record of process improvement.

  • Have strong organisational skills.

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Be able to manage their time effectively.

  • Be comfortable with responsibility and meeting deadlines.

  • Be able to quickly assimilate information.    

  • Exude confidence in all aspects of the job.

  • Be able to take and follow Line Management instruction.

Desirable Criteria

The post holder will:

  • Be self-motivated, reliable and have drive, commitment and energy.

  • Have strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.

  • Be a self-starter with a desire to improve all aspects of the Wholesale Business.

  • Have experience in the Fresh Produce industry.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience.

Position

Permanent.
